When taking these photos, i noticed and proved that by changing the aperture , the depth of field also changes. When the aperture was small, the depth of field would also be small meaning that the picture would focus on the object that was closer, therefore blurring out the background of the picture. when the aperture was changed to f/8 the focus would change along with the depth of field meaning the picture would be somewhat focused midway through the picture and blurring out the front and the background. When the aperture was at f/16, the depth of field was much larger, this aperture should be used when taking pictures of a landscape because this aperture grasps a focus on all picture not just the front or the back.

The camera obscure is the concept that when a room is closed down completely with no light coming in and there is a small opening, there will be an image inside the room of the outside but upside down and backwards. By setting a serious of lenses and by creating a mechanical structure people were able to trace a big image into smaller sizes. People were able to figure out that photography is the same as light drawing. In which people realized that cameras are just a box and thats how the camera came into evolution.
I chose to do my picture in the library because typically the library represents studying and education. I took my friend to help me out with the selfies, however they took different shots of me but from different angles which altered the way I wanted to do my surrealist picture.
First off I used snapspeed to alter the lighting on the picture, after I altered the lighting I focused the picture on the center and blurred out the outside corners, and focused the picture on me. After using snapspeed, I used pixlr to try to blend in two different picture but that backfired because the angles were different for each picture. I darkened the outside where it was blurry and then I brought up the brightness on the center and out up the saturation. The library represents how I have to study like half my time because of full IB but me having my head down represents how I would think of other things and I was originally supposed to have my nephews next to me by putting my nephew pictures on top of this one but I couldn't get clear picture of them. The idea of my photo is how it represents that I have to study but in reality I wish to be doing other things. |
