In order for the light painting to work, the room had to be completely dark with no light to contaminate the picture. The camera would have to be put on a shutter speed of 6 seconds which would make the picture take some time to take the actual and final picture. During this time period we were able to "draw" using the light. One and probably the only struggle i had was to make the picture that i wanted, trying to instruct my partner to do something and sometimes the picture would not come out as i expected it to be. The most important things i learned about light painting is the importance of shutter speed, how we can do amazing things with a dark room, lights and a 6 second shutter speed. Some other ideas i could do with light painting is try to maybe expand the shutter speed, that way i have more time to draw my painting and maybe it would be better to do one big painting involving the whole class.
